{"id":948,"date":"2025-10-30T15:48:57","date_gmt":"2025-10-30T14:48:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog-2025.test\/?post_type=legal&#038;p=948"},"modified":"2026-02-25T14:29:12","modified_gmt":"2026-02-25T13:29:12","slug":"secri","status":"publish","type":"legal","link":"https:\/\/neverhack.com\/b\/en\/legal\/research-development\/secri\/","title":{"rendered":"SeCRI"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"806\" src=\"http:\/\/blog-preprod.neverhack.dev\/wp\/app\/uploads\/2025\/10\/SeCRI-1024x806.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-998\" srcset=\"https:\/\/neverhack.com\/b\/app\/uploads\/2025\/10\/SeCRI-1024x806.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/neverhack.com\/b\/app\/uploads\/2025\/10\/SeCRI-300x236.jpg 300w, https:\/\/neverhack.com\/b\/app\/uploads\/2025\/10\/SeCRI-150x118.jpg 150w, https:\/\/neverhack.com\/b\/app\/uploads\/2025\/10\/SeCRI-768x605.jpg 768w, https:\/\/neverhack.com\/b\/app\/uploads\/2025\/10\/SeCRI-1536x1209.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/neverhack.com\/b\/app\/uploads\/2025\/10\/SeCRI.jpg 1900w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">SEcure Citizen Remote Identification<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The \u201cSecure Citizen Remote Identification\u201d research project (hereinafter \u201cSeCRI\u201c), approved by the Calabria Region within the Action 1.2.2, was proposed by INNOVERY SPA, as lead partner, in partnership with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sicur Control System S.r.l.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Key-Biz S.r.l.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Department of Ingegneria dell\u2019Informazione, delle Infrastrutture e dell\u2019Energia Sostenibile dell\u2019UNIVERSIT\u00c0 DEGLI STUDI MEDITERRANEA di REGGIO CALABRIA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It pursues the Intelligent Specialization Strategy of Calabria (S3 Calabria) within the driver relating to the \u201cICT and Innovative Tertiary\u201d innovation area, following the technological trajectory: Protecting digital services through advanced cyber-security tools, also in the context of the Internet of Things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SeCRI aims to study and develop an automated process that, by adapting and integrating existing and reliable basic technologies with innovative methodologies, can effectively serve and\/or support the automatic remote identification of a natural person. The initiative intercepts a growing need that derives from a general request for greater security and reliability of online transactions, from the more critical and significant role that digital identity has assumed, from the presence of an emerging regulatory context, and from the growing phenomenon of false identities and&nbsp;<em>impersonation<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The main innovative component of the project is represented by the fact that its general objective is to build an identification methodology exploiting all possible sources of information in an integrated and synergistic way, meaning that the sum of sources is not designed to obtain a mere addition of information, but as a knowledge base to create a complex and intelligent identification process, which combines traditional and unconventional channels (such as the identification information present on the Web) , and which also uses trust models to determine the reliability of the identification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The final result of the project consists of a service able to receive a remote identification request in input and produce, as an output, the information useful to support the identification as compared to a selected level of<em>&nbsp;assurance<\/em>&nbsp;(LOA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In practical terms, the SeCRI project will make it possible to support the remote identification of a person through a web service and an application installed on a client device (including mobile), be it personal or dedicated. For this purpose, the methodologies will be implemented, and they will have to be able to adapt to the levels of identification reliability required by the user domain. These methodologies will have to make use of various sources, including the databases of the Public Administration. SeCRI also proposes to use information available in Internet (Social Networks and web data) to experiment with a \u201cSocial-trust\u201d methodology of the person\u2019s identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This methodology will use information available on open sources reachable in Internet, exploiting possible traces that the subject to be identified leaves on the Web (social networks are certainly the main source) including images. It is important to note that, although the project specifically concerns the problem of user identification, the results of the project may also be used to assess whether the remote identification processes, in cases where the level of&nbsp;<em>assurance<\/em>&nbsp;required is high, can be adopted in order to implement authentication verification strategies in combination with&nbsp;<em>behavioral anomaly detection approaches<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The pillar of the project is the conceptual and practical demonstration of the possibility of automatically identifying a specific subject (natural person) starting from the following elements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The person<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identity document<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Computer<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Socialnetworks<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The tools that the project prepares for this purpose are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A technological infrastructure made up of \u201ccore\u201d technologies and supporting technologies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A back-end containing the business logic, or the declination of algorithms and methodologies, result of research into software functions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2026A front-end consisting of an application for client devices (presumably mobile with Android operating system).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Calabria Region has granted the project a total financial support of \u20ac 465,726.91, through the publication of the ranking approved by executive decree no. 11273 of 12\/10\/2017 and s. m.e.
